2直線が交わるとき、向かい合う角は等しい。
平行な2直線に1本の直線が交わるとき:
例:ℓ // m で1つの角が65°のとき 同位角 = 65°、錯角 = 65° 同側内角 = 180° − 65° = 115°
逆: 同位角(または錯角)が等しければ、2直線は平行。
内角の和 = 180°
外角 = となりあわない2つの内角の和
例:内角が50°と70°なら、外角 = 50° + 70° = 120°
例:正六角形 内角の和 = 180° × 4 = 720° 1つの内角 = 120° 1つの外角 = 60°
2つの三角形が合同になるのは:
例:「△ABCでDはBCの中点、AD⊥BC。AB = ACを証明せよ。」
証明:△ABDと△ACDにおいて ① BD = CD(DはBCの中点)…仮定 ② ∠ADB = ∠ADC = 90°(AD⊥BC)…仮定 ③ AD = AD(共通) ①②③より、SAS(2辺夾角)で △ABD ≅ △ACD よって AB = AC(合同な三角形の対応する辺) ∎
In a triangle, two angles are 72° and 53°. Find the third angle and the exterior angle at that vertex.
解答
Third angle = 180° − 72° − 53° = 55° Exterior angle = 72° + 53° = 125°
Interior angles sum to 180°. Exterior angle = sum of non-adjacent interior angles.
Find the sum of interior angles of an octagon (8 sides).

180° × (8 − 2) = 180° × 6 = 1080°
Use the formula 180° × (n − 2).
Two parallel lines are cut by a transversal. One angle is 110°. Find the alternate interior angle and the co-interior angle.

Alternate interior angle = 110° Co-interior angle = 180° − 110° = 70°
Alternate angles are equal. Co-interior angles are supplementary (sum to 180°).
